Resumo:
The Course Completion Work addresses the topic of domestic violence against children and adolescents and its relationship with public schools, from the perspective of the child as a developing subject and a social protection system that can be supported within the school. The objective of the work is to understand the expressions of domestic violence committed against children and adolescents, manifested in public schools and their relationships with the condition of children and the types of domestic violence suffered. Carried out in a qualitative approach using methodological procedures found in bibliographic and documentary research using techniques for reading articles and publications on the topic studied and consolidated with records, reviews and reflective writing on the readings carried out, the research was guided by the methodological procedures of the materialist critical-dialectical method capable of substantiating the interpretation of collected data with theoretical content necessary to explain the researched object and produce the results obtained in the research. As a result, we have a sample of the conditions for guaranteeing the rights of children and adolescents provided for in Brazilian legislation based on the principles of absolute priority and full protection that considers the child as a developing being and subject to citizenship rights. It exposes the dynamics of domestic violence against children and adolescents, its causes, types of application and consequences in the social life of victimized children. And, as a third result, the impacts of domestic violence against children and adolescents in the school environment are presented, mainly in the process of producing knowledge of victims in teaching and learning situations, pointing out the possible manifestations of domestic violence and its ways of coping in school. The final considerations consider the importance of schools in combating domestic violence against children and adolescents and the need to strengthen legal mechanisms for the defense and protection of children and adolescents and socio-legal penalties for aggressive families as a way of minimizing the rate of cases of domestic violence.
