The preparation of this work focuses on analyzing the political and social group
of homosexuals Thilde Amapá - Ghata, entity located in Amapá, which seeks to
ensure that all the homosexual: Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender,
Transsexual, Transgender - GLBT the guarantee of their rights to citizenship
and fighting the various forms of homophobic expressions. In addition to
studying the goals, prospects and progress of this group within its real goals
that would be the quest for social advancement within this segment of society.
For purposes of analysis, we used interviews, research on books, internet,
magazines, resolutions, documents of the entity, in which he sought - if focus
the importance for gay men, the understanding of gender issues, gay identity,
sexual orientation, and that knowledge of such concepts can help to disentangle
the concepts pre-established in society by contributing to a reasonable
acceptance of this class to ensure their rights as claimed. It was noticed that the
Ghata has been a contribution to the achievement of their prospects, getting
little respect and dignity to the gay class, due to the approvals of bills and
resolutions that the group put on the agenda, as support for the guarantee of
rights of homosexuals.
