Resumo:
Responsibility combined with environmental awareness is necessary as a preventive attitude to the use of the planet's natural resources. The need for a new profile for human action involves environmental education. Having an environmental education is something that every human being must have access to in order to internalize within himself the perception of not being merely a user of natural resources, but being aware that he is also part of the environment in which he lives. That the lack of knowledge makes us accelerate the extinction of our own species to the point of configuring a new geological era – the Anthropocene – which began with the Industrial Revolution, a demographic, economic and technological acceleration that took place between 1940 and 2000. The search for Priority carried out on the practices and procedures aimed at the application of Environmental Education as an instrument of Environmental Management leads us to conclude that in the context of ecological management, environmental education can be framed as an eco-innovation. Our objective in this work is to contextualize and demonstrate that environmental education, in its practical application, has the technological maturity to fit in as an eco-innovation, framed in the range of TRL4 to TRL9. Considering that its basic principles have already been studied and it is being applied in practice for discoveries. That is, it reinforces the contextualization and identification of Environmental Education, within the scope of the production process, and the gains it brings to environmental management in the company as an instrument that improves the structure and organization of the company at different levels of the hierarchy scale.
