This work aims to analyze how environmental education is worked in a classroom in the early
years of elementary school, considering the importance of environmental education for this
phase of schooling. Check the knowledge that children have about environmental impacts and
how these can interfere with children's daily actions. And finally, to identify which
conception/strand appears predominantly among the students and the teacher. The methodology
used was qualitative research of the research-action type. And as a data collection instrument,
the semi-structured interview was used. We can observe that environmental education needs to
be worked with innovative methodologies that bring benefits not only to the environment to be
worked on the theme, but to the population in general, because the more they are aware of this
importance that environmental education has, the more possibilities to form citizens capable of
embracing environmental issues and taking care of their own environment. Another relevant
point is that environmental education is an essential mechanism in the life of the human being
and that needs to be worked on from early childhood education, so that, through this instrument,
the subject can reflect on his actions in the environment, can dialogue about the other people
and encourage creation and participation in social projects in favor of a sustainable
environment |
