Resumo:
The knowledge of the dielectric properties of materials when subjected to an electric field is fundamental in different areas of engineering such as food conservation, power transmission, telecommunications and electronics. Dielectric properties are defined in terms of dielectric constant (k ‘) and dielectric loss factor (k’’). The behavior of dielectric properties of Macaúba (Acrocomia Acuelata) as a function of important parameters such as temperature, moisture content and ash content were theoretically analyzed. For the dielectric constant (k’) it was observed that for the frequency of 2450 MHz it decreases with increasing temperature, increases with moisture content and a low influence of ash content. It was observed that the loss factor (k’’) increases with temperature, moisture content and ash content.
