The accelerated consumption of mineral resources for the development of society has made mining indispensable for modern life, the well-being and quality of life of the population. Aggregates are the most consumed mineral inputs in the world. Therefore, it is important to know how this resource is explored and its entire process until its commercialization, however, there is a lack of studies that characterize the mining of aggregates, mainly sand, in the northern region of Brazil, where it is marked by large mining. and mining. In this sense, a diagnosis of a sand mining enterprise in the municipality of Juruti-PA was carried out, with the aim of understanding these aspects in those locations, with the aim of evaluating the sand mining process and proposing improvements to the enterprise under study. Therefore, through field research, we sought to understand the organizational, technological and marketing system of this enterprise. It was possible to verify the archaic way of sand extraction work in the company's mine, which lacks adequate planning and presents little environmental and social responsibility. Finally, improvements were proposed, such as: prospecting studies, improvement in mining planning, creation of infrastructure, installation of drainage and safety measures.
