This study aims to identify some difficulties that students in the second year of high school encounter in learning chemistry, and is quantitative in nature, through a questionnaire. The results revealed some difficulties in chemistry on the part of the students, especially in calculus. In addition, it can also be concluded that students in the 2nd year of high school present dissatisfaction with the way in which the discipline of chemistry is conducted and that more practical classes are lacking to obtain more knowledge and overcome difficulties in the discipline. Nas escolas, o ensino de química está mais associado ao molde tradicional de transferência de conhecimento, que está na memorização de fórmulas, conceitos, símbolos, o que culmina na desmotivação do aluno e contribuindo para o número de dificuldades na aprendizagem do conteúdo se multiplicam insistentemente. Por isso, nasce a importância de vincular o que é aprendido dentro da sala de aula com o cotidiano vivido pelos alunos, só então eles podem associar as informações que o professor pretende passar com seu cotidiano, oferecendo a chance de questionar, refletir e até mesmo entender a importância da aprendizagem da química. Este estudo tem como objetivo identificar algumas dificuldades que os alunos do segundo ano do ensino médio encontram na aprendizagem de química, e é de natureza quantitativa, por meio de questionário. Os resultados revelaram algumas dificuldades em química por parte dos alunos, especialmente no cálculo.
