The production of cassava, which is of great national importance, generates various byproducts, such as manipueira. This, if not properly disposed of, can harm the environment by contaminating rivers and streams. In this context, the present work studied the development of passion fruit seedlings exposed to different doses of manipueira. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse of CJUR/UFOPA from September to November 2022. Seeds were placed in soft plastic seeds and after 27 days were reported in 3.7-litre pots containing 70% soil of known composition and 30% cattle manure. The experimental design used was completely randomized (CDR), in a factorial scheme, with two cultivars, 5 doses of manipueira, and 4 repetitions per treatment, totaling 40 experimental units, in which each plant represented a repetition. The cultivars used were BRS Gigante Amarelo which corresponded to T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5, with dosages 0; 25; 50; 75 and 100 ml of manipueira/vase respectively and BRS Sol do Cerrado which corresponded to T6, T7, T8, T9 and T10, with dosages 0; 25; 50; 75 and 100 ml of manipueira/vase respectively. The number of leaves, plant height and stem diameter were evaluated weekly. At the end of the experiment, fresh weight and dry weight of shoot and root parts and root volume were measured. The data were subjected to analysis of variance and the means were compared using the Scott-Knott test. The results show that there was no interaction between the factors studied, although there was a significant difference between cultivars. This can be justified by the developmental characteristics of the varieties used for the study. Considering the above and under the conditions studied, it is assumed that Manipueira does not affect the initial development of the passion fruit tree. However, complementary studies are needed to evaluate the impairment of Manipueira in soils with low fertility. O maracujazeiro é pertencente à família Passifloraceae e está entre as principais espécies frutíferas cultivadas no Brasil. Já a produção de mandioca, que possui grande relevância nacional, gera diversos subprodutos, a exemplo da manipueira. Esta, quando não descartada de forma adequada, pode gerar danos ao meio ambiente contaminando rios e igarapés. Nesse contexto, o presente trabalho avaliou o desenvolvimento de mudas de maracujá submetidas à diferentes dosagens da manipueira. O experimento foi conduzido em casa de vegetação, no CJUR/UFOPA, de setembro a novembro de 2022. As sementes foram dispostas em sementeiras de plástico maleável, e após 27 dias, foram transferidas para vasos de 3,7 litros com 70% de solo de composição conhecida e 30% de esterco de gado. O delineamento experimental utilizado foi o inteiramente casualizado (DIC), em esquema fatorial, com duas cultivares, 5 doses de manipueira, e 4 repetições por tratamento, totalizando 40 unidades experimentais, em que cada planta representou uma repetição. As cultivares utilizadas foram a BRS Gigante Amarelo que correspondeu ao T1, T2, T3, T4 e T5, com as dosagens 0; 25; 50; 75 e 100 ml de manipueira/vaso respectivamente e a BRS Sol do Cerrado que correspondeu ao T6, T7, T8, T9 e T10, com as dosagens 0; 25; 50; 75 e 100 ml de manipueira/vaso respectivamente. Semanalmente foram avaliados número de folhas, altura de plantas e diâmetro de caule. Ao final do experimento, foram mensurados, peso fresco e seco parte aérea e da raiz e volume da raiz. Os dados foram submetidos à análise de variância e as médias comparadas pelo teste Scott- Knott. Os resultados mostram que não houve interação entre os fatores estudados, embora haja uma diferença significativa entre as cultivares. Esta pode ser justificada pela característica de desenvolvimento das variedades utilizadas para o estudo. Diante do exposto, e nas condições avaliadas, sugere-se que a manipueira não apresenta interferência no desenvolvimento inicial do maracujazeiro.
