Resumo:
The process of construction and defense of human rights undeniably starts from the experiences of individuals regarding the recognition of a right. Therefore, knowing that knowledge is an elementary instrument for this protection and that any form it manifests is essential for understanding the means by which the defense of the rights of the person must take place; knowing that the presence of a qualified professional who acts in the defense of the prerogatives is essential is that the present work addresses the methodology of clinical education in human rights as a key element for the proposal of libertarian education proposed by Paulo Freire, in the law course of Federal University of Western Pará - UFOPA. Therefore, seeking to know how and to what extent this methodology is used within the university, that the problem was approached by the inductive method, having the main moment in the bibliographic research phase, proceeding to an accurate study of the published material on the subject. . As an investigation method, field research was used, in line with participant observation in the university's projects, striving for a qualitative approach, guided under the focus of materialism, with documentary apprehension of the projects. Therefore, we wanted to know the use of methodology within the UFOPA law course, to the point of elaborating a description of the clinical experiences lived in the aforementioned Higher Education Institution - HEI. The data obtained were analyzed in the form of text, which made it possible to ascertain the methodological link between the teaching didactics covered and the activities developed in the experiences analyzed in the spaces inside and outside the university. As a result, it was possible to find 4 experiences that are linked to clinical education in human rights at IES, namely: The Center for Legal Practice - NPJ, the Center for Popular Legal Advice - NAJUP / CABANO, the Human Rights Clinic at UFOPA and , the Restorative Justice Clinic of the Amazon, of which the work of the Nascer em Santarém project linked to the Human Rights Clinic of Ufopa and the Najup /Cabano stands out in this work, cuts made by the author according to her teaching performance at the university, where it was possible to identify the incorporation of the consolidation process of a higher humanized legal education and closer to reality and the professional role of law students in the Amazon.
