Resumo:
The study in question has the theme Geographical Reading on the Feast of São Joaquim in the quilombola community of Curiaú Outside, Macapá-AP, and aims to investigate and analyze the importance of this cultural and religious manifestation in strengthening the sense of territory for the community of the Curiaú Outside, from the territorialities that constitute during the celebration. The work was structured in 3 chapters that discuss the theme in order to seek the development and achievement of the objectives and give answers to the problem and hypothesis. All material was thoroughly analyzed and discussions were held with varied theories, conceptions and postulates. Several authors that approached the theme with property were consulted, where their visions, theories and knowledge about the thematic work were extracted. The essay is a survey and bibliographical study combined with the field research, combined with a participatory observation where observations and interviews were carried out in loco aiming to extract the visions about the relation of the festivity with the territoriality of the community through the cultural religious manifestation and daily life. The data obtained were analyzed and the territorial elements were present in the relationship with the Feast of São Joaquim, symbolism observed in the residents through the feeling of belonging to the Community of Curiaú Outside, in the direct action for organization, participation and realization of all stages of the festival and the desire that this culture will remain alive in future generations. The research is justified due to its social and scientific relevance, inasmuch as it produced knowledge essential to human, pedagogical and scientific practice, enabling the awakening of consciousness, recognition and respect for cultural diversity
