This course conclusion work is the result of a scientific initiation research, with objective to understand the figure of the hero today in view of the constant changes in conceptions about this figure. Thus, we aimed to analyze the anti-heros Frank Castle, which meets the designation of Punisher and Light Yagami, known as Kira, the manga Death note, calling into question the anti-hero of stigmas and villain characters receive in their stories once that fit the hero concepts. For the theoretical basis with respect to the hero myth use discussion Campbell (007); Costa (2010); Lima and Santos (2011), Netto and Lopes (2014) and Reblin (2010). Regarding the comic discussion started from the theoretical basis of Luyten (2012) and Ramos (2014); Vergueiro (2005); Viera (2007), Mendonça (2008). For the research methodology, we follow the theoretical basis of research in Applied Linguistics Interdisciplinary area, in dialogue with the Human / Social Sciences (MOITA-LOPES, 1994, 2006, 2009), being made a documental analysis of qualitative-interpretative approach. (Lüdke; ANDRÉ, 1986). The results show that the characters can be fully understood as heroes, since good and evil are relative, depending on the angle from which you look at this design hero in these HQ. In this paradox, as a result of both cultural and social, you can build a hero or a villain, or a negative hero, which was presented in a Brombert - A hero capable of qualities and defects as well as anti-heroes today - but who seeks to do good and reinstall peace in their societies. So, heroes who walk the fine line between good and evil, justice and revenge and right and wrong, heroes that make us question the concept of the hero of the XXI century.
