This article aims at analyzing the use of Comics in the teaching of English
Language in regular schools. In order to do so, some important perspectives will be
analyzed: discussion about textual genders, place in which comics belong to and the
beginning and evolution of this gender throughout history. It is also discussed some
relevant aspects related to the teaching of the English language in Brazil, as well as
its difficulties and barriers. Finally it is presented what actually happens in the
classroom when one works with comics, the problems found and the advantages that
support our central idea – the use of this technique can be very productive. |
