This publication is currently dismembered in two magazines, with scopes in different areas: Boletim do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Ciências Humanas (ISSN 1981-8122) and Boletim do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Ciências Naturais (ISSN 1981-8114). This is a documental research, with an approach of mixed analysis and exploratory content, based on the period from 1894 to 2015. It was sought to conceive the dimension in which these journals are inserted as human and communicational enterprises, crossed by the dynamic processes that constitute a culture in order to understand also the particular processes where the local science has solidified. In order to establish this relationship, it was necessary to study the scenario where the Bulletins were consolidated, observing which actors and the internal and external influences over the Emílio Goeldi Museum, that intervened directly and indirectly in the production of them, making it possible to visualize the contexts in which the movement of the institutionalization of scientific communication was being formated. In this way, it was possible to perceive elements that allowed the creation of markers as parameter for the analysis of the temporal phases by which this historical magazine passed. The following were considered as markers: I) management and administration of the institution; II) financial conditions; III) socioeconomic and political contexts; IV) disciplinarization or systematization of knowledge; V) graphic / editorial production; VI) periodicity and circulation. So in the final analysis, it was possible to outline the paths taken by the local science in its consolidation and the role of scientific communication as basis in this process. FAPESPA - Fundação Amazônia de Amparo a Estudos e Pesquisas A presente dissertação objetiva entender a relação entre os Boletins do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi, concebido como elemento da comunicação científica, e o processo de institucionalização da ciência na Amazônia, mais precisamente na cidade de Belém. Este periódico atualmente é desmembrado em duas revistas, com escopos em áreas distintas: Boletim do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Ciências Humanas (ISSN 1981-8122) e Boletim do Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi. Ciências Naturais (ISSN 1981-8114). Esta é uma pesquisa documental, com abordagem de análise mista e exploratória de conteúdo, baseada no período de 1894 a 2015. Buscou-se conceber a dimensão na qual estes periódicos estão inseridos enquanto empreendimento humano e comunicacional, atravessados pelos processos dinâmicos que constituem uma cultura científica, a fim de compreender também os processos particulares segundo os quais a ciência local se solidificou. Para estabelecer essa relação, foi necessário estudar o cenário onde os Boletins se consolidaram, observando quais os atores envolvidos e as influências internas e externas ao Museu Paraense Emílio Goeldi que interviram direta e indiretamente na produção deles, possibilitando visualizar os contextos em que o movimento de institucionalização da comunicação científica foi se configurando. Dessa forma, foi possível perceber elementos que permitiram a criação de marcadores como parâmetros para a análise das fases temporais pelas quais esta histórica revista passou. Foram considerados como marcadores: I) gestão e administração da instituição; II) condições financeiras; III) contextos socioeconômicos e políticos; IV) disciplinarização ou sistematização do conhecimento; V) produção gráfica/editorial ;VI) periodicidade e circulação.
