Resumo:
The aim of this research is to understand how the practices of scientific dissemination of Emílio Goeldi Museum of Pará are made accessible to people with disability. The museum is, nowadays, the oldest in the country, bringing together 152 years of scientific experience in the Amazon. This research has a qualitative character and combined the following techniques: mapping of practices for accessibility, observation in the spaces of the zoobotanical park, interviews with professionals directly related to the scientific dissemination in the institution and description and analysis. As main concepts were used the studies on accessibility and inclusion worked by Sassaki (2005); the concepts of Wolton (2006) that understands communication as sharing; Bueno's research (2010) on scientific dissemination and scientific literacy; as well as the works developed by Cohen, Duarte and Brasileiro (2012), which provided essential information on accessibility practices in museums.
