This study was supported by the Theory of Social Representations (SRT) developed by the Romanian Serge Moscovici (1978) and consolidated by Denise Jodeled (2001), Nascimento (2002) and Celso Sá (2003), amongst others. The discussion on Youth, Schooling and Life Project was based on Nascimento (2014), Spósito and Carrano (2003), Dayrell (2016), Abramovay, Castro and Waiselfisz (2015). Based on the theoretical reference of the TRS, from the perspective of the procedural approach, the logic of the dimensions that make up the thematic network of this work was synthesized based on the following questions: Who says and from where it is said? What is said and with what effect? Four thematic analyzes were constructed from the images and meanings expressed in the subjects' speeches: the importance of the school; Difficulties faced by young people either to be or to remain in school; The school desired by the young; Plans for the future (Life projects). It is a qualitative study from the perspective of Ludke and André (1986), as the informative exploratory type in Leopardi (2002) and Lakatos and Markoni (2011). Three data collection techniques were used for the development of this research: the questionnaire, the focus group and the Free Word Association based on Gil (1999), Gondim (2003) and Nóbrega and Coutinho (2003). The subjects of the survey were 95 young people from the 3rd year of high school. The questionnaire and free association of words were applied to all young participants in the research, and the focus group was carried out with a group of 13 young people defined by application. Based on the goals of the research, the results pointed out that it is a group of subjects marked by characteristics of attachment to the world of work, to the condition of father, mother, riverine person, fisherman, digital native, therefore plural and heterogeneous subjects. These youngsters give the school needful purposes and meanings for the construction of their life projects insofar as it assumes it as a place from which their projections gain possibilities of concretization. Esta tese é resultado de um estudo sobre Juventude e Escolarização e teve como objetivo central analisar as Representações Sociais (RS) de jovens do Ensino Médio de Escola Pública do município de Bragança (PA) sobre sua escolarização e as implicações em seus projetos de vida. O referido estudo teve como campo teórico metodológico de sustentação a Teoria das Representações Sociais (TRS), desenvolvida pelo romeno Serge Moscovici (1978) e consolidada a partir das fomentações de Denise Jodeled (2001), Nascimento (2002), Celso Sá (2003), entre outros. A discussão sobre Juventude, Escolarização e Projeto de Vida fundamentou-se em Nascimento (2014), Spósito e Carrano (2003), Dayrell (2016), Abramovay, Castro e Waiselfisz (2015). Com base no referencial teórico da TRS, na perspectiva da abordagem processual construiu-se a lógica das dimensões que compõem a rede temática deste trabalho, sintetizados a partir dos seguintes questionamentos: Quem diz e de onde diz? Sobre o que diz e com que efeito? A partir das imagens e sentidos expressos nos discursos dos sujeitos foram construídas quatro temáticas de análises, são elas: A importância da escola; Dificuldades enfrentadas pelos jovens para estar ou permanecer na escola; A escola desejada pelos jovens; Planos para o futuro: Projetos de vida. Trata-se de um estudo de abordagem qualitativa na perspectiva de Ludke e André (1986), do tipo exploratório explicativa em Leopardi (2002) e Lakatos e Markoni (2011). Para a construção desta pesquisa foram utilizadas três técnicas de coleta de dados: o questionário, o grupo focal e a Associação Livre de Palavra com base em Gil (1999), Gondim (2003) e Nóbrega e Coutinho (2003) respectivamente. Os sujeitos da pesquisa foram 95 jovens do 3º ano do ensino médio. O questionário e a associação livre de palavras foram aplicados a todos os jovens partícipes da pesquisa, já o grupo focal foi realizado com um grupo de 13 jovens definidos por adesão. Com base nos objetivos da pesquisa, os resultados apontaram que, trata-se de um grupo de sujeitos marcados por características de vinculação ao mundo do trabalho, à condição de pai, mãe, ribeirinho, pescador, nativo digital, portanto sujeitos plurais e heterogêneos.
