We ended with a reflection about the cultural pedagogy of workshops and the need for inclusion of the miriti toy tradition in the official curriculum of public schools. Este artigo resulta da pesquisa que tem como um dos objetivos analisar as relações de gênero em dois ateliês de produção do brinquedo de miriti. A experiência etnográfica está em curso e a produção de informações já nos permite reflexões introdutórias, pois a observação cotidiana e as conversações com os interlocutores e interlocutoras possibilitaram nossa entrada no mundo dos costumes e na cultura do lugar. O trabalho está organizado da seguinte maneira: iniciamos com a invenção da tradição do brinquedo de miriti, para, em seguida, tratar do processo de produção artesanal e generificado comum aos dois ateliês. Encerramos com uma reflexão sobre a pedagogia cultural dos ateliês e a necessidade de inclusão da tradição do brinquedo de miriti no currículo oficial das escolas municipais.
