The Paragominas Campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of
Pará - IFPA, is a public institution that aims to provide free and quality public education, looking social,
technological and economic development of the country and its region. The musical practice at IFPA
Campus Paragominas has been happening with the realization of two Extension Projects - Choir and
Orchestra, which has been helping to train choristers and band musicians (orchestra), with basic
training, so that from their musical practices can join choirs, military bands, symphonic orchestra/bands,
technical courses and university graduations that work the musical language. To elaborate the
courseware IFPA - Campus Paragominas’ Choral and Orchestra Musical Arrangements Collection was
the main objective of this Research of Professional Master in Arts Research UFPA. The research is
qualitative, a case study, since we intend to explain and deepen ideas about our study object. The
starting point was the literature review of research on university extension (SILVA, 1996), the collective
teaching of musical instruments (OLIVEIRA, 1998; CRUVINEL, 2004; ALMEIDA, 2004; BARBOSA,
1996) and about arrangements/composition (GUEST, 1996; ALMADA, 2000; DICIONÁRIO GROOVE
DA MÚSICA, 1994; DICIONÁRIO DA MÚSICA DE ZAHAR, 1985), A documentary survey of the
legislation regarding the extension was also performed. The IFPA - Campus Paragominas Choir and
Orchestra Musical Arrangement Collection is composed of 10 (ten) musical arrangements, in full score
format (conductor grid) and is divided into two parts: orchestra arrangements; choir and orchestra
arrangements. The criterion of choice for the production of the musical arrangements was considering
the Institution objectives regarding the scientific and cultural programs developed during the year 2019,
which had cultural presentations of the choir and the orchestra. The musical arrangements have their
own characteristics because they are composed arrangements that consider the diversification of the
instrumental and vocal group formation, the musical technical knowledge level of the instrumentalists
and choristers and the rotation of the components that participate in the project
