The Theater Degree course, for now, offers the disciplines of Clown and Animation Theater, in which I interned as a participating researcher and, in addition to observation and participation in classes, I interviewed students and teachers. Supported by authors from the circus area such as: Ermínia Silva, Mario Bolognesi, Eliene Benicio, Rodrigo Dupratt, Marco Bortoleto, Marton Maués, Aníbal Pacha, among others, I focus on the interweaving of circus and theater that has taken place since the beginning of the show, emphasized in the show created by Philip Astley in 1770. In this conception, the circus starts to dialogue systematically with other artistic languages. Since the creation of circus schools in 1970, the knowledge transmitted under the canvas has spread to other spaces, including academia. Through this diffusion, circus modalities start to constitute the curricula of several courses related to the performing arts and corporal practices. The research unfolds in four moments: a synthesis about the origins of the circus show and its modalities; the contributions of circus arts to the educational environment and the interweaving between the modalities already existing in the curriculum of the Degree in Theater; in addition to the affections existing in the researcher's teaching practice. The research also points out the need for the inclusion of other modalities in the initial training of the theater teacher, as desired by the interviewees. Esta pesquisa versa sobre modalidades circenses no curso de Licenciatura em Teatro da Escola de Teatro e Dança da Universidade Federal do Pará (ETDUFPA) e visa por em destaque a contribuição das atividades circenses fundamentais para o melhor desenvolvimento das expressões corporais e conhecimento expandido. O curso de Licenciatura em Teatro, por ora, oferta as disciplinas de Clown e Teatro de animação, nas quais estagiei como pesquisadora participante e, além da observação e participação nas aulas, entrevistei alunos e docentes. Amparada por autores da área circense como: Ermínia Silva, Mario Bolognesi, Eliene Benicio, Rodrigo Dupratt, Marco Bortoleto, Marton Maués, Aníbal Pacha, entre outros, enfoco o entrelaçamento de circo e teatro que ocorre desde os inicios do espetáculo, enfatizado no show criado por Philip Astley em 1770. Nesta concepção, o circo passa a dialogar sistematicamente com outras linguagens artísticas. A partir da criação das escolas de circo em 1970, o conhecimento transmitido sob a lona se espraiou para outros espaços, incluindo o meio acadêmico. Por meio desta difusão, as modalidades circenses passam a constituir os currículos de diversos cursos ligados às artes da cena e práticas corporais. A pesquisa se desdobra em quatro momentos: uma síntese sobre as origens do espetáculo circense e suas modalidades; as contribuições das artes circenses para o meio educacional e o entrelaçamento entre as modalidades já existentes no currículo do curso de Licenciatura em Teatro; além dos afetos existentes na prática docente da pesquisadora.
