The research was conducted from a case study, where participant observation and non-directive interviews were used to collect field data. The methodological approach was both qualitatively and quantitatively. The practice observed was swidden without burning held by all members of the community. This practice changed the relationship of the community farmers with the swidden. Among other aspects observed, it was revealed decreased duration the cultivation cycle which now begin only with the onset of the rains; fixation of farmers in growing areas, discouraging the use of new cultivation areas the adoption of the manuring as a form of alternative to soil fertilization by burn; and the increase of livestock farming in the community. Analisar a relação entre o uso de práticas agroecológicas e a organização do trabalho familiar na comunidade Barra do Leme, Pentecoste, Ceará foi o objetivo deste estudo. A pesquisa foi realizada a partir de um Estudo de Caso, onde foram utilizadas a observação participante e entrevistas não diretivas para a coleta de dados de campo. A abordagem metodológica foi tanto qualitativa como quantitativa. A prática observada foi a roça sem queima, realizada por todos os membros da comunidade. Esta prática modificou a relação dos agricultores da comunidade com o roçado. Dentre outros aspectos observados, foi possível perceber a diminuição do tempo do ciclo de cultivo que passou a se iniciar apenas com o começo das chuvas; a fixação dos agricultores nas áreas de cultivo, desestimulando o uso de novas áreas de cultivo; a adoção da adubação como forma de fertilização do solo alternativa á queimada; e o aumento da pecuária na comunidade. 2022-11-08T18:59:54Z 2022-11-08T18:59:54Z 2014 Dissertação MOTA, Nashira Remígio.
