The objectives of this research with students were to know the history of the Igarapé-Açu air base, a remnant of the Second World War and to think of ways to use this cultural asset in History classes, providing a decolonial learning process that would take 9th grade students to thinking critically about the historical and cultural assets of your city, as well as realizing that in your location history is made, we also aim to produce a 28-minute documentary about the air base of Igarapé-Açu, filming the location and interviewing elderly people who they lived with that space while it was active and also interviewed other researchers who had already produced knowledge about the air base or the manifestations of the Second World War in Igarapé-Açu. As sources we used oral and written interviews through dozens of questionnaires distributed in different geographies of the city of Igarapé-Açu and for different people, queries to printed newspapers from the time of the Second World War, queries to the air force command in Belém, we also used old photos of the city of Igarapé-Açu and the air base. Esta dissertação intitulada o ensino de História em sons e imagens: patrimônio histórico, memórias e olhares do presente na produção de um documentário sobre a base aérea de Igarapé-Açu, dentro da linha de pesquisa, saberes históricos em diferentes espaços da memória, metodologicamente foi realizada com a participação direta de alunos do 9º ano da escola Cônego Calado do período da manhã os 2020, os quais participaram fazendo as oficinas preparatórias para pesquisa sobre a base aérea, elaborando indagações e fazendo entrevistas juntamente com este professor pesquisador que foi o coordenador-geral deste trabalho desde a preparação e aplicação das oficinas, dos questionários, da filmagem e edição do produto desta dissertação que é um vídeo documentário com o mesmo título da dissertação (disponível online no domínio https://youtu.be/aIUG3VIzVpk) e o trabalho foi feito ainda mediante um conjunto de entrevistas com moradores antigos e hodiernos de Igarapé-Açu para levantarmos informações sobre o nosso objeto de pesquisa, à base aérea, fizemos pesquisas bibliográficas sobre o tema e pesquisas em jornais do período da Segunda Guerra em Belém, e filmamos a base aérea. Os objetivos desta pesquisa com alunos era conhecermos a história da base aérea de Igarapé-Açu, remanescente da Segunda Guerra Mundial e pensar formas de instrumentalizar este bem cultural nas aulas de História, proporcionando uma aprendizagem mais dinâmica e participativa que levasse os alunos do 9°ano a pensar criticamente sobre os bens histórico-culturais de sua cidade, bem como perceber que na sua localidade se fez e se faz história, também objetivamos produzir um documentário de 28 minutos sobre a base aérea de Igarapé-Açu, filmando o local e entrevistando idosos que conviveram com aquele espaço enquanto ele era ativo e entrevistando também outros pesquisadores que já produziram conhecimento sobre a base aérea ou as manifestações da Segunda Guerra Mundial em Igarapé-Açu. Como fontes utilizamos entrevistas orais e escritas por meio de dezenas de questionários distribuídos em diferentes geografias da cidade de Igarapé-Açu e para diferentes pessoas, consultas a jornais impressos da época da Segunda Guerra, consulta ao Comando da Aeronáutica em Belém e outras fontes.
