In this dissertation, it was found, based on the questions raised and the reflections from
the understanding, that the aging of the population is configured in a real and irreversible
phenomenon, it was presented the guiding question of this research: The methodology
used to working with adults and old people of the program University of Maturity
constitutes a paradigm for the social development of the elderly in the state of Tocantins.
The search for the answer to this question guided the research for the studying and
understanding of the overall purpose of this dissertation which was to understand the
benefits achieved at the UMA for the implementation of public social policies in the State
of Tocantins. The specific objectives were chased aiming to recognize the
methodological path of UMA / UFT developed in all poles of Tocantins; know the
academic profile of the UMA / UFT. To achieve the objectives a case study was
developed with quantitative and qualitative approach. Data were collected through semistructured
interviews, field diary, questionnaire and photographic record. The research
field was the Program University of Maturity Araguaína - UMA polo and the participants
were students and professors from UMA / Araguaína managers (dean, pro- deans of
UFT) who experience the methodology of the studied object. |
