In this sense, hand launches the theories of uneven geographical development, modernization and metropolization space to understand the configuration of the recent metropolitan dynamics of Bethlehem To conduct the survey started up some methodological procedures, such as:. Research and literature review and documentary; systematic observations; This discourse analysis in newspapers, metropolitan transportation plans and interviews with public and private actors from the logistics sector. The reflections of this work will meet the relation between the discourse on logistics and the design of metropolitan space. In it, there is the presence of a discursive matrix that meets ideas as city "chaotic", the "disorder" urban and "chaos" everyday that need to be eliminated and which serve as a subsidy for another speech that gives you sequence: which spread the solution of metropolitan problems through better logistics infrastructure to metropolis and you can better enter it in the national and international economic environment. It is therefore a discourse that justifies the implementation of major projects in metropolitan space and enhances a city model discontinuous and dispersed, structured by major road works, in order to allow better accessibility to a larger scale nature regional, indicating an embryonic trend of formation of a city-region in the Amazon with regional particularities. Logistics, in this sense, appears as a "solution" quite encouraged by the governmental sphere, for the installation of companies with guided organizational logic of just in time. It follows that these urban transformation practices end up contributing to the production of a fragmented space and limited access to the population. CNPq - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico Este trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a importância da logística em discursos e em projetos de estruturação territorial no espaço metropolitano de Belém, levando em conta as grandes obras de infraestrutura, de acessibilidade urbana regional e os investimentos privados ligados ao setor de transporte. Neste sentido, lança-se mão das teorias do desenvolvimento geográfico desigual, da modernização e da metropolização do espaço para compreender a configuração da dinâmica metropolitana recente de Belém. Para realização da pesquisa partiu-se de alguns procedimentos metodológicos, como: pesquisa e análise bibliográfica e documental; observações sistemáticas; análise do discurso presente em jornais, planos de transporte metropolitano e entrevistas com agentes públicos e privados ligados ao setor logístico. As reflexões deste trabalho vão ao encontro da relação que há entre o discurso sobre a logística e a concepção de espaço metropolitano. Nele, verifica-se a presença de uma matriz discursiva que vai ao encontro de ideias como de cidade “caótica”, de “desordem” urbana e de “caos” cotidiano, as quais precisam ser eliminadas e que servem de subsídio para outro discurso que lhe dá sequência: o que propaga a solução dos problemas metropolitanos por meio de uma melhor infraestrutura logística para metrópole e que possa melhor inseri-la no cenário econômico nacional e internacional. Trata-se, portanto, de um discurso que justifica a implantação dos grandes projetos no espaço metropolitano e reforça um modelo de cidade descontínua e dispersa, estruturada por meio de grandes obras viárias, de maneira a permitir uma melhor acessibilidade a uma dimensão ampliada de natureza regional, indicando uma tendência embrionária de formação de uma cidade-região na Amazônia com particularidades regionais. A logística, nesse sentido, surge como uma “solução”, bastante incentivada pela esfera governamental, para a instalação de empresas com lógicas organizativas pautadas na organização just in time.
