As theoretical support to the development of this Project we have considered the Pluridimensional Dialectology by Thun (1998), as well as the contributions made by professors like Cardoso (2010), Razky (2013). The Geolinguistic method has been followed in this Project, which presents the achieved results through the use of maps that show the geographical variation of the language. As this is a pluridimensional Project it will portray, through graphics, the diatopic and the diastratic variation like age and sex. In order to carry on with this study, it has been used ALiB Project data which have been collected in twenty three locations in the north region of Brazil in six different states. Subjects of both sex and two different age levels (18 to 35 years old and 50 to 65 years old) have been interviewed. To collect the data researchers have applied a lexical-semantic questionnaire made up of 202 questions which covers 14 semantic fields. However, this Project has limited itself to study the semantic field “childhood games and plays”. The results achieved show the occurrence of at least two different geographical areas where proper lexical itens may be found, that is, the northeast and the southeast of the north region of Brazil. The capital cities and the small towns demonstrated a few lexical differences in the studied semantic field. Some lexical itens which characterizes the north region thus differing it from the baiano speaking area are peteca, to name bolinha de gude, baladeira to estilingue and curica to pipa sem vareta just to name but a few. Esta dissertação tem como objetivo mapear e discutir a variação semântico lexical em seis estados da região norte do Brasil nas localidades pesquisadas pelo projeto Atlas Linguístico do Brasil (ALiB), para apontar áreas onde ocorrem itens lexicais comuns, comparar os resultados das cidades do interior dos estados pesquisados com as suas respectivas capitais, assim como o falar da região norte com a área do falar baiano resultado da tese de doutorado de Ribeiro (2012). Como aporte teórico e metodológico para a execução deste trabalho considerou-se a dialetologia pluridimensional, Thun (1998), além das contribuições feitas por pesquisadores da área da dialetologia como Cardoso (2010) e Razky (2013). A abordagem metodológica seguida foi a da geolinguística que permitiu que os resultados fossem apresentados por meio de cartas lexicais que mostram a variação geográfica dos itens pesquisados. Por se tratar de um trabalho pluridimensional, será observada, por meio de gráficos, além da variação diatópica, a variação no nível diastrático (faixa etária e sexo). Para a execução do trabalho foram utilizados os dados do projeto ALiB, coletados em vinte e três localidades distribuídas pelos estados do Pará, Amapá, Amazonas, Acre, Rondônia e Tocantins, entrevistando-se sujeitos de ambos os sexos, divididos em duas faixas etárias, dezoito a trinta anos, (primeira faixa etária) e cinquenta a sessenta e cinco anos de idade (segunda faixa etária). Para a obtenção dos dados foi aplicado o questionário semântico lexical do projeto ALiB, composto de 202 questões em 14 campos semânticos, dos quais se delimitou para esta pesquisa a área semântica Jogos e Diversões Infantis. Os resultados deste estudo demonstraram a ocorrência de pelo menos duas áreas geográficas que apresentam características lexicais comuns a cada uma em si, o nordeste e o sudeste da região norte. As capitais e as cidades interioranas apresentaram pouca diferença no campo lexical estudado.
