This dissertation discusses the path of a group of individuals that are priests and workers of the Holy Office in the context of the State of Maranhão and Grão-Pará in the seven-hundreds. Beggining from the paths followed, we will find the construction of the bureaucratic machine and the acting pattern of these two institutions in colonial Amazon, without loosing the individuality of the agents out of sight, highlighting the use of the condition and privileges of the cleric and members of the bureaucratic inquisitorial body. |
