The overall goal the same analysis is summarized in tucumã and its contribution in the composition friendly and the local production and use. The choice of producers was intentional, constituting the identification of sources resource, as well as the characterization of forms of production family economy. This allowed us to understand and develop different types use and benefit of tucumã in these communities, involving some socioeconomic indicators such as age, education, profession and among other. GPS and GIS tools were used to coordinates acquisition and georeferencing of palm trees, beyond calculation of area and production of maps. Products extracted from plant with defined market are used especially for the production of pulp or coconut oil animal, where part of the production is retained for household consumption and sale of hand labor, presents itself as an income essential to sustain the family. In household consumption is also noted the production of wine / juice, fruit marketing, production crafts, the use of the trunk in the construction of housing and shelter, especially for domestic animals. However, the use of plant by family farmers in both the sample areas is in a natural potential of the utmost importance to the sustainability socio within the lot and above all, a source resource renewable natural, which is available for families to explore a low cost, both in terms of physical effort, and economical. Thus, these alternative proposals for improving the trigger framework for exploration and cultivation of tucumã aimed at developing local sustainable in the short, medium and long time. Este trabalho discute a importância do fruto de tucumã (Astrocaryum vulgare Mart.) na vida dos produtores familiares, nas Comunidades Cabeceira no Município de Curuçá (PA) e Comunidade Pedral no Município de Soure (PA), em 2011, de um total de 50 entrevistas. O objetivo geral do mesmo se resume na análise do tucumã e sua contribuição na composição do estabelecimento familiar e do aproveitamento local. A escolha dos produtores foi intencional, constituindo-se na identificação das fontes de recurso, bem como, na caracterização das formas de produção da economia familiar. Isto permitiu entender e elaborar os diferentes tipos de uso e aproveitamento do tucumã, nestas comunidades, associando alguns indicadores socioeconômicos como:idade, escolaridade, profissão e entre outros. Ferramentas de geoprocessamento e GPS foram utilizadas para a aquisição de coordenadas e georreferenciamento das palmeiras, além do cálculo de área e confecção dos mapas. Os produtos extraídos da planta com mercado definido são utilizados especialmente, para a produção da polpa ou o óleo do bicho do coco, onde parte da produção é retida para o consumo familiar e a venda da mão-de-obra, apresenta-se como uma renda essencial para o sustento familiar. No consumo familiar destaca-se ainda a produção de vinhos/suco, a comercialização do fruto, a produção de artesanatos, a utilização do tronco na construção de casas e abrigos, especialmente, para os animais domésticos. Contudo, a utilização da planta por produtores familiares em ambas às áreas amostrais constitui em um potencial natural de suma importância para a sustentabilidade socioambiental dentro do lote e acima de tudo, em uma fonte de recurso natural renovável, que está disponível às famílias para exploração a um custo baixo, tanto no que se refere ao esforço físico, quanto econômico.
