Resumo:
Brief analysis of the genus liophis wagler, 1830, in comparison with the similar Leimadophis fitzinger, 1843 and Lygophis fitzinger, 1843. Detailed studies of liophis cobella (Linnaeus, 1758) and the redescription of liophis purpurans (Duméril, Bibron and Duméril, 1854), in the eastern region of Pará, accompanied by the comparative analysis between the two species.
