Description and taxonomic analysis of a new subspecies, Sibynomorphus mikani septentrionalis from the State of Maranhão, which occurs near the limits of the Amazonian forest. Comparative studies are carried out with the other two breeds of Southeast and Southern Brazil, Sibynomorphus mikani mikani (Schlegel) and Sibynomorphus mikani neuwiedi (Ihering), concluding that the new subspecies is the northernmost form of the genus, with meristic characters Inferior to those of the two mentioned races, and with differences of staining. |
