For this reason, we intend to maximize information about their uses, so that later this information can serve the most varied interests of society and in a way that is easy to interpret. The cataloging of species with popular use is being continuously carried out, where the sources of information are concentrated in consultations in some herbariums and libraries in the region and also through excursions in areas of proven traditional use of palm trees by the community, as well as in areas of high floristic diversity of palm trees. The present study contains surveys in order to highlight, as well as group the information obtained. A schedule is being followed that has been partially achieved so far, which includes the cataloging and use of the species, which are accompanied by their botanical and vernacular nomenclatures, class(es) of use(s), part(s) used, product(s) and description of how they are obtained, as well as their habitats and presentation of collection areas. Na região amazônica existe um vasto uso popular das palmeiras nas mais diversas áreas, por esse motivo pretende-se maximizar informações sobre seus usos, no sentido de que posteriormente essas informações possam servir aos mais variados interesses da sociedade e de uma forma de fácil interpretação. Está sendo realizado de uma forma contínua a catalogação das espécies com uso popular, onde as fontes das informações concentram-se em consultas em alguns herbários e bibliotecas da região e também através de excursões em áreas de comprovada utilização tradicional das palmeiras pela comunidade, assim como em áreas de elevada diversidade florística de palmeiras. O presente estudo contém levantamentos no sentido de evidenciar, assim como agrupar as informações obtidas.
