We worked with medium and large sized thickets, using the Line Intercept methodology (MULLER-DOMBOIS and ELLEMBERG, 1974). For medium-sized bushes, 31 species were inventoried, distributed among 21 families. The main species according to the Importance Value Index (IVI) were: Cuphea fiava Spreng., Humiria balsamifera (Aubl.), Bombax longepedicelatum Ducke, Protium heptaphyllum (Aubl.)March., Eugenia biflora (L.)De. In the large thickets, 43 species were inventoried, distributed in 24 families, where the main species according to the IVI were: Byrsonima amoena Cuatr., Myrcia sphaerocarpa DC., Protium heptaphyllum (Aubl.)March, Myrcia fallax De., Cassipourea guianensis Aubl. The Myrtaceae family was the most representative according to the IVI in both types of thickets, reaching percentages above 50%. However, a difference in floristic composition was observed with respect to the other families, while in the medium bush, the families Malpighiaceae, Burseraceae and Rhyzophoraceae reached higher IVI values, in the larger bushes, families totally different from the previous ones, such as Hurniriaceae, Leguminosae and Bombacaceae, stood out. A análise fitossociológica foi realizada na restinga do Crispim, localizada no município de Marapanim/PA, entre as coordenadas geográficas 47°40'24" a 47°38'00" WGr. e 00°37'06" a 00°34'42"S. Trabalhou-se com moitas de médio e grande porte, utilizando-se a metodologia do Intercepto de Linha (MULLER-DOMBOIS e ELLEMBERG, 1974). Para as moitas de médio porte, foram inventariadas 31 espécies, distribuídas em 21 famílias. As principais espécies de acordo com o Índice de Valor de Importância (IVI) foram: Cuphea fiava Spreng., Humiria balsamifera (Aubl.), Bombax longepedicelatum Ducke, Protium heptaphyllum (Aubl.)March., Eugenia biflora (L.)De. Nas moitas de grande porte foram inventariadas 43 espécies, distribuídas em 24 famílias, onde as principais espécies de acordo com o IVI foram: Byrsonima amoena Cuatr., Myrcia sphaerocarpa DC., Protium heptaphyllum (Aubl.)March, Myrcia fallax De., Cassipourea guianensis Aubl. A família Myrtaceae foi a mais representativa de acordo com o IVI nos dois tipos de moita, atingindo percentuais acima de 50%.
