The Bragantine Zone is made up of 13 municipalities in the northeast of the State of Pará and the Guajarina Zone of 7 municipalities in the south of the State. The municipality of Vizeu is located on the coast, between the municipalities of Augusto Correia, Bragança, Ourém and Paragominas. The three regions together have a total area of 84,903 km, which is equivalent to 6.92% of the State of Pará. The objective of this work is to determine the actual brioflora of this area which has not been studied yet but whose vegetation was subjected to devastation by colonizers who introduced agriculture, cattle raising, wood industry, gold mines, etc. At the same time, to compare this brioflora with other regions of remaining primary forest in the State of Pará. The methodology consists in collecting bryophytes in the study area and identifying them. The results found, still partial, indicate as most frequent species Callicostella pallida (Hornsch.) Angstr., Pilosium chlorophyllum (Hornsch.) C. Mull., Cyrto-hypnum involvens Buck & Crum, Neckeropsis undulata (Hedw.) Reichardt, Octoblepharum albidum Hedw. and Zelometeorium patulum (Hedw.) Manoel. Cryso-hypnum diminutivum (Hampe) Buck and Ectropothecium leptochaeton (Schwaegr.) Buck, stand out in the family Hypnaceae, one of the 13 families of mosses already identified. The ecosystems richest in bryophytes are Igapó and Capoeira. Taxithelium pluripunctatum (Ren. & Card.) Buck, is being reported for the first time for the State of Pará (CNPq/MPEG). |
