The RENAS Project (Natural Resources and Anthropology of Maritime, Riverside and Lake Societies in the Amazon: a Study on the Relationship between Man and his Environment) of the Emílio Goeldi Museum of Pará, encompassing several themes, seeks interdisciplinarity in the practice of research, aiming to awaken the interest and reflection of scientists to the problematic of the relationship between man and his environment, focusing on coastal and riverside communities in the Amazon. Among the themes is migration, specifically internal migration of fishermen, which will be treated in the subproject "Internal Migration of Fishermen in the Amazon: a Case Study in the Village of Marudá, Marapanim (P A)". The above subproject seeks to understand migration in a global way and its new characteristic in the Salgado micro-region, which is internal migration, its causes and consequences; origin of the fishermen; reasons for migration; social composition of migration flows (individual with father, families, relatives and others), forms of organization and settlement in the Vila de Marudá and etc. Thus, the main objective of this subproject is a social, cultural, political and economic survey of fishermen coming from other regions in the Salgado Microregion to the community of Marudá, Marapanim(PA), searching for an ethnographic profile of them for further analysis, where we will seek to understand and discuss the internal relations that exist between the fishermen of this village of Marapanim(PA) with the remnants from other regions, and mainly understand the reasons that led them to establish temporary residence there, before their final objective which is the capital of Pará, where there is already a specific study of this theme. |
