Brazil, due to its large surface and predominantly tropical location, is one of the richest countries in Orchidaceae, and the Amazon region, with its expressive number of habitats, can be considered as one of the richest regions in diversity and density of Orchidaceae. The area chosen for this study is an igapó forest, located on the banks of the Marapanim River, in the community of Abaetezinho, municipality of Marapanim, which is closest by land to the municipality of Igarapé-Açu at about 13 km. In order to carry out this work, a survey of field data was conducted by sampling plots perpendicular to the riverbed, with a total of 6 plots each measuring 10.00 m x 20.00 m. The materials collected at the study site were taken for identification and compared to specimens from the MG herbarium. As a result, 30 species distributed in 20 genera were registered, where the species Dichaea picta Rchb.f., Epidendrum nocturnum Jacq., Maxillaria camaridii Rchb.f., Sobralia sessilis Lindl., Scaphyglottis sickii bPabst., Stellis paraensis Barb. Rodr. and Zigosepalum labiosum (L. C. Rich.) Garay are the most abundant, being found throughout the forest along the river (CNPq). Apesar de ter ampla distribuição geográfica, é nas regiões tropicais que as orquídeas apresentam maior ocorrência de espécies epífitas e terrestre. O Brasil por sua grande superfície e localização predominantemente tropical, é um dos países mais ricos em Orchidaceae, sendo que a região Amazônica com seu expressivo número de habitats, pode ser considerada como uma das regiões mais ricas em diversidade e densidade de Orchidaceae. A área escolhida para este estudo é uma floresta de igapó, localizada às margens do rio Marapanim, na comunidade de Abaetezinho, município de Marapanim, sendo que via terrestre fica mais próximo do município de Igarapé-Açu a cerca de 13 km. Para execução deste trabalho realizou-se o levantamento de dados de campo através de amostragem de parcelas perpendiculares ao leito do rio, num total de 6 parcelas medindo cada uma 10,00 m x 20,00 m. Os materiais coletados no local de estudo foram levados para identificação e comparados com exemplares do herbário MG. Como resultados foram registradas 30 espécies distribuídas em 20 gêneros, onde as espécies Dichaea picta Rchb.f., Epidendrum nocturnum Jacq., Maxillaria camaridii Rchb.f., Sobralia sessilis Lindl., Scaphyglottis sickii bPabst., Stellis paraensis Barb. Rodr. e Zigosepalum labiosum (L. C. Rich.)
