It considered as a source of data from the information contained in the reports of naturalists, travelers and missionaries of the first centuries of the conquest to the archeological research that is currently being developed in the region. This survey allowed us to identify and locate on a map 19 archaeological sites in the region that present traces of ceramics, lithics, rock art, and stone alignments. The largest concentration of sites appears along the Paru river and the engravings and cave paintings appear as the vestige most recorded in the literature. Based on this survey, the archeological potential of the municipalities of Prainha and Almeirim is evident and suggestions are made regarding the areas to be prioritized in the next stages of prospecting in the region. O trabalho apresenta o levantamento das informações bibliográficas sobre sítios arqueológicos encontrados nos municípios de Prainha e Almeirim (Estado do Pará). Considerou-se como fonte de dados desde as informações contidas nos relatos de naturalistas, viajantes e missionários dos primeiros séculos de conquista até as pesquisas arqueológicas que atualmente são desenvolvidas na região. Este levantamento permitiu identificar e localizar em um mapa 19 sítios arqueológicos na região que apresentam vestígios cerâmicos, líticos, arte rupestre, amoladores e alinhamentos de pedra. A maior concentração de sítios aparece ao longo do rio Paru e as gravuras e pinturas rupestres aparecem como o vestígio mais registrado na literatura.
