The appearance of large areas of secondary forest, and these being used only through the method of slash and burn for use in plantations, is leading these areas to a process of degradation, which makes necessary studies of alternative uses. This work aimed to study the secondary vegetation with a view to its management for honey production and to continue the pollen analysis that is already being done in this area, to identify the pollen types through melissopalinological analysis of the honey of Apis mellifera L. in the studied areas and to do the management of capoeira areas for honey production, since beekeeping is a practice that is feasible due to the great diversity of species found in the capoeira. The research was done in Bragança-PA, where with the help of data survey a thinning of the area was done, aiming to privilege the honey species. The main honey species selected were Byrsonima crispa, Croton matourensis and Tapirira guianensis and the main species discarded were Doliocarpus breupedicellatus, Arabidaea guaricensis and Bauhinia macrostachya. After the management the selected species showed improvement and the beekeeping activity showed a better yield. |
