Resumo:
The book "Miriti: the pearl of the lower Tocantins" addresses descriptions, accounts, and quotes from artisans, adorned with visual content that portrays very well the way of life, work, landscape, and the craftsmanship of the miriti palm, displayed along the banks of the rivers in the municipality of Abaetetuba, affectionately called "The Pearl of the Lower Tocantins." Revisiting one of the symbols of the municipality, the anthem composed by Máximo Ribera, which depicts the following passage: "Maratauíra, a great and beautiful river, a strong branch of the immense Tocantins, has on its bank a majestic place of work mixed with celebrations." Harmoniously, the book's proposal is sung in praise of the miriti work performed festively by artisans in Abaetetuba, who sculpt, paint, mold, weave, build, and cook their stories, their ancestry, and their love for their culture.
