The aim of this article is to reflect on the challenges of knowing, documenting, storing, conserving and disseminating collections of indigenous objects in museums, based on anthropological and museological research, but also considering our concerns about how to articulate and reconcile indigenous knowledge, perceptions, thoughts and feelings about the materiality, immateriality and agency of objects, in addition to our expectations that this indigenous knowledge can contribute to an intercultural management of indigenous objects in museums. |
