The objective of this work is to present alternative good food practices using as a mechanism urban agriculture through a community garden with agroecological bases. After a theoretical background, this work developed by the social service professional sought the partnership of the multidisciplinary view of the area of agronomy, nutrition and psychology that contributed with their abilities to the execution of the activities that go from the planting, manipulation and confection of the foods, besides the involvement of families as subjects in participation and reflection in the promotion of Health. The result is the construction of a pedagogical book that systematizes the work of health education having as object the community garden with agroecological bases. Este trabalho diz respeito à temática educação em saúde dividido em dois capítulos, onde no primeiro é apresentado a revisão bibliográfica à cerca do tema, no segundo a metodologia aplicada na revitalização de uma horta de participação comunitária e traz ainda como anexo a apresentação de um caderno pedagógico sistematizando o trabalho desenvolvido após experiência prática. O objetivo do trabalho é apresentar alternativa de boas práticas alimentares utilizando como mecanismo a agricultura urbana por meio de horta comunitária com bases agroecológicas. Após o embasamento teórico, o trabalho desenvolvido pela profissional de serviço social buscou-se a parceria do olhar multidisciplinar da área da agronomia, nutrição e psicologia que contribuíram com suas habilidades para a execução das atividades que vão desde o plantio, manipulação e confecção dos alimentos, além do envolvimento das famílias como sujeitos na participação e reflexão na promoção da saúde. O resultado é a construção de um caderno pedagógico que sistematiza o trabalho de educação em saúde tendo como objeto a horta comunitária com bases agroecológicas.
