The industrial sector is essential for the development of a region or a country, which also makes it important that each step of the manufacturing process is supervised so that the result in a good product with a competitive price. However, there are some problems related to the supervision of processes, such as cost, which is the investment for commercial licenses and equipment; and operating, which is the need for highly skilled labor. By describing the main components of a system of supervision, control and data acquisition - SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) we propose an alternative solution to problems related to cost and operation of supervisory systems, by creating a cheap prototype, with open sources software and hardware of easy understanding. Therefore, we used the ScadaBR software and an Arduino microcontroller board that suited all of our needs. |
