The research work - Retrofit of Supernorte lighting, will deal with the waste in the energy consumption focusing on that the lighting is a relevant factor, that must be taken in consideration. In this sense, it will highlight it is of utmost importance the technological improvement aligned with the decrease of consumption, aiming at the well being of the human being and efficiency, without loss of comfort and quality of life. In this perspective, Supernorte supermarket, because it is a building built and in operation, were investigated the company's expenses, and then to elaborate appropriate solutions for its installation. In this way, the results indicate areas of greater influence in the final consumption of electric energy, being possible with the implementation of retrofit lighting project, improving luminance, light and energy efficiency, reducing specific power and electricity consumption.
