It also discusses the use of Institutional Repositories (IRs) as tools for the preservation and dissemination of scientific production at universities, giving a greater focus to CCWs, which is the focus of the study. This work was based on a feasibility study of inclusion of CCWs to the collection of RI of the Federal University of Pará (RIUFPA) made during extension with the Information Products Management Department of the UFPA Central Library. The methodology used was based on a quantitative survey of Brazilian federal universities that had the initiative to include in their IRs specific communities for CCWs, where a total of 13 IRs were obtained. Also conducted an email interview with some responsible for these IRs. Thus, it is concluded that the implementation of CCWs in IRs still suffers from problems such as teachers' lack of interest in making this material available, but it is a very important initiative. In this way, this study aims to broaden the discussion about the topic in the scientific environment, contributing to its greater approach. Discuti sobre o papel do Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso para a graduação, sua relevância na formação dos discentes e da importância de preservar esse tipo de material, trazendo uma breve analise sobre o acervo de TCCs da Faculdade de Biblioteconomia da Universidade Federal do Pará, onde buscou-se apontar os problemas que a falta de um armazenamento adequado pode acarretar. Também discorre sobre o uso do Repositórios Institucionais (RIs) como ferramentas de preservação e disseminação da produção científica das universidades, dando um maior enfoque para os TCCs, que é objeto central do estudo. Esse trabalho baseou-se em um estudo de viabilidade de inclusão de TCCs ao acervo do RI da Universidade Federal Pará (RIUFPA) feito durante extensão junto ao setor de Gestão de Produtos Informacionais da Biblioteca Central da UFPA. A metodologia utilizada deu-se através de levantamento quantitativo das universidades federais brasileiras que tiveram a iniciativa de incluir em seus RIs comunidades especificas para TCCs, onde se obteve o total de 13 RIs. Também se realizou entrevista feita por e-mail com alguns responsáveis por esses RIs. Assim conclui-se que a iniciativa de implementação de TCCs nos RIs ainda sofre com problemas como por exemplo o desinteresse dos docentes em disponibilizar esse material, mas ainda sim, é uma iniciativa de grande importância.
