This work attempts to show the importance of the transition as well as the benefits obtained with the change of the systems in the context of the organization of the documents in the library’s collection. The research will show if the transition from the automation system Arches Lib to the system Pergamum had a significant impact in the organization of the documents of the Arthur Viana Public Library. In order to achieve the goals proposed for this work, an exploratory and descriptive research was made. It was used a qualitative approach utilizing subjective interviews as a way to collect data. These interviews utilized a survey. I was also made bibliographic research as a source of information. The goal of this research is to show the many reasons that lead to the change of the automation softwares as well as present all the justifications for why CDU was changed to CDD, the positive and negative aspects, the benefits obtained by the institution and its users and the opinion of the librarians that participated of the transition of the bibliographic classification systems from CDD to CDU on the Arthur Viana public Library. Apresenta o processo de transição dos sistemas de classificação bibliográfica CDU para CDD na Biblioteca Pública Arthur Vianna visando mostrar quais foram os benefícios obtidos com a mudança dos sistemas no contexto da organização dos documentos que compõe o acervo da biblioteca. A pesquisa mostrará se a mudança dos softwares de automação Arches Lib para o Sistema Pergamum colaborou de forma significativa na organização dos documentos da Biblioteca Arthur Viana. Para obter êxito quantos aos objetivos do estudo, foi realizada uma pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, mediante abordagem qualitativa, usando como instrumento de coleta de dados entrevistas por meio de um questionário aberto de caráter subjetivo, observação participativa, além de pesquisa bibliográfica como fontes de informação. A pesquisa tem por finalidade mostrar as razões que implicaram na mudança dos softwares de automação, apresentar as justificas para a mudança do sistema CDU para CDD, os aspectos positivos e negativos, os benefícios obtidos para a instituição e seus usuários e a opinião dos bibliotecários que participaram do processo de transição dos sistemas de classificação bibliográfica CDU para CDD na biblioteca Arthur Vianna. 2017-09-13T14:55:09Z 2017-09-13T14:55:09Z 2017 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação COSTA, Taly Ruby dos Santos.
