Resumo:
The Indigenous Lands in the legal Amazon were created with the objective of enabling indigenous communities to enjoy the biodiversity of the territory according to their customs, as well as protect and conserve natural resources. However, as cattle activity increases, the demand for new areas has increased, putting at risk the indigenous lands that are close to the agricultural frontier, as is the case of the Apyterewa Indigenous Land. Thus, the objective of this work is to map the dynamics of deforestation, quantifying its rates and variables in the IT Apyterewa, São Félix do Xingu - PA, through remote sensing techniques applied in satellite images between 2000 and 2018. For this images from the Landsat 5 satellite sensor and Landsat 8 OLI sensor from 2000, 2005, 2010, 2014 and 2018 were used using the segmentation tool and an interpretation key to classify 11 deforestation. By means of this it can be observed that in the Apyterewa Indigenous Land it is found with 12% of its deforested territory due to the expansion of cattle ranching and more than 80% of its territory occupied by non-indigenous people.
