Resumo:
The aquaculture or cultivation of aquatic organisms appears as a way to complement the fish no longer coming from the extractivism. Shrimp farming is a type of aquaculture in which shrimp farming occurs. This activity has already been developed in the state, the properties are located in the municipalities of Curuçá and Salinópolis, this research was only attended to the municipality of Curuçá. The recognition of shrimp farming, its prospects for the municipality, as a region favorable to this type of crop by the abundance of natural resources and environmental biodiversity, aiming to contribute with studies that can guide, inform, inform the population in general, especially the Paraense, about the laws shrimp farming and the benefits and harms it can bring to the region. The research is structured in 6 chapters, it addresses the general aspects of shrimp farming, the production within the Amazon context, the federal, state and municipal legislation for the same, the perception of the farmers of Curuçá on the issues related to shrimp farming in the municipality, governmental organizations related to environmental issues, community perceptions about shrimp production in Curuçá. It was observed that the shrimp producer is knowledgeable about the legislation, sometimes its failure to comply with it occurs due to the lack of environmental awareness, since it has an eminently economic focus associated with the omission of assiduous supervision in these areas. The community members living in the vicinity of these projects have shown themselves to be unrelated to the issues of shrimp production and the impacts it brings. Those who were informed by the local shrimp industry were concerned with job and income generation, but also with issues that were not the company's responsibilities, but the state's health, safety, and education issues. The federal, state and municipal environmental agencies present fragmented shared environmental management, which makes possible fraud in the licensing procedure carried out by the municipality. The general objective of the research is to elucidate the issues related to the legislation for the production of prawns in the state of Pará based on the search for sustainability and the specific one in carrying out the analysis of the legislation on shrimp farming at Federal, State and Municipal level; evaluate the perspective of public agencies related to shrimp production; evaluate the perception of producers and the surrounding community about these enterprises.
