It was carried out a survey of information and the application of the didactic sequence in a state public school of Abaetetuba: School Bernardino Pereira de Barros, that had as subjects of the intervention the students of the 2nd stage of the modality of Education of Young People and Adults (EJA). The knowledge about liric genre was in the light of the studies of Luciano Marcos Dias Cavalcanti (2014). However, the relevance of the work is justified by the guidelines of the National Curriculum Parameters of Portuguese Language of the high school (2000) and Curricular guidelines for high school (2006). In addition, the didactic sequence is appreciated according to Joaquim Dolz and Bernand Schneuwly (2004) and Alda Beraldo (1989 and 1990). It is understood that the lyrical composition is of utmost importance in the Portuguese Language classes for the construction of the subject as a means of education of the sensibility, which is the search for a knowledge as great and important as the scientific, that is, the humanization of the men. Este estudo resultou de um projeto de intervenção intitulado “ESCRITORES DE UMA TERRA SEM FACE: o ensino e produção de poesias sobre o município de Abaetetuba”, que teve como principal objetivo organizar uma sequência didática para o ensino do gênero lírico e através disso publicar um livreto de poesias de versos livres escritas pelos alunos do ensino médio em que estes deveriam fazer uso de objetos, pessoas, lugares, eventos, alimentos e outras situações pertencentes à cultura de Abaetetuba, proporcionando a face lírica ao município conforme seus conhecimentos prévios e os adquiridos após a intervenção e ainda fazendo desta composição uma forma de exercerem seus papeis como cidadãos demonstrando qual a face que o município apresenta para estes alunos. Foi realizado um levantamento de informações e a aplicação da sequência didática em uma escola pública estadual de Abaetetuba: Escola Bernardino Pereira de Barros, que teve como sujeitos da intervenção os alunos da 2ª etapa “B” da modalidade de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (EJA). O conhecimento sobre o gênero lírico foi à luz dos estudos de Luciano Marcos Dias Cavalcanti (2014). Todavia, a relevância do trabalho justifica-se através das orientações dos Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais de Língua Portuguesa do ensino médio (2000) e das Orientações curriculares para o ensino médio (2006). Ademais, a sequência didática é apreciada segundo Joaquim Dolz e Bernand Schneuwly (2004) e Alda Beraldo (1989 e 1990).
