The objective is to analyze how the teaching practices of educators working in rural schools are taking place, as well as to conceptualize, historically and socially, the genesis of rural education and rural schools in Brazil. We will then try to argue the theoretical and practical bases that support the reflections about the teacher formation to act in the field as precursor of the development of cognitive abilities in its school space. We organize this article in three topics where we aim to refer through a historical and legal analysis to the process of training these professionals, reflecting on the role of the education professional of the field, we will also try to reflect how this education professional has been working in this process and what your academic background to give you with the new. The present research article establishes the longitudinal temporal sequence. It is to define the Universe of the study population of the basic education and to define the Sample as part that will represent the Universe that will be the four Professors of a rural community of the municipality of Abaetetuba / PA, known as Jarumã the Municipal School Adriano Rodrigues Cardoso where we found accessibility and typicity for constituted research, and the conclusion by means of the analysis of data collected in loco and conclusive arguments based on the results of the questionnaires used with the teachers used in the research and thus we exposed our perceptions elaborated from the methodological walk we experienced in the the present work. This research had the theoretical basis of several authors that permeate the discussions on the subject. A proposta deste artigo é analisar como estão sendo as práticas docentes para atuação na educação do campo. O objetivo é de analisar como estão se dando as práticas docentes dos educadores que atuam nas escolas do campo, bem como conceituar histórico e socialmente a gênese da educação do campo e das escolas do campo no Brasil. Buscaremos, então argumentar as bases teóricas e práticas que subsidiam as reflexões acerca da formação docente para atuar no campo como precursor do desenvolvimento de habilidades cognitivas no seu espaço escolar. Organizamos esse artigo em três tópicos onde objetivamos referendar através de uma análise histórica e legais para o processo formação desses profissionais fazendo uma reflexão sobre o papel do profissional de educação do campo, buscaremos também refletir como esse profissional da educação vem trabalhando nesse processo e qual a sua formação acadêmica para lidar com o novo. Por meio de uma pesquisa exploratória, qualitativa, trata-se definir o universo da população de estudo do ensino fundamental e definir a amostra como parte que irá representar o universo que serão os quatro professores de uma comunidade rural do município de Abaetetuba/PA, conhecida como Jarumã a Escola Municipal Adriano Rodrigues Cardoso aonde encontramos acessibilidade e tipicidade para constituída investigação, e na conclusão por meio da análise dos dados coletados in lócus e argumentações conclusivas embasadas nos resultados dos questionários utilizados junto aos professores utilizados na pesquisa e assim expusemos nossas percepções de que existem divergências entre as práticas pedagógicas assumidas pelos professores e as diretrizes propostas pela educação do campo, e estas foram elaboradas a partir do caminhar metodológico por nós vivenciado no decorrer da elaboração do presente trabalho.
