Initially we will take a historical approach to high school in Brazil, which presents us the moment that was instituted and its purposes, we will also present the reflections of the teachers interviewed, their conceptions about high school and the policies Developed by the state of Pará. The research is of qualitative nature, using the following instruments of data collection: semi-structured interviews, questionnaires and focal group with the high school teachers of the state Education network. This work is the result of the research carried out by the GEPESEED research group, in order to understand how educational policies are being developed in the municipality and the contributions that developed studies can bring to that level of Teaching. The authors studied were Nascimento (2015), Krawczyk (2014). The research results show that gaps in these policies tend to leave high school fragile, failing to meet their goals, leading to low performance in evaluations. O trabalho apresenta algumas reflexões sobre as políticas educacionais para o Ensino Médio sob a ótica de professores da E. E. E. F. M. Bernadino Pereira de Barros no município de Abaetetuba no estado Pará. Inicialmente faremos uma abordagem histórica do Ensino Médio no Brasil, que nos apresenta o momento que foi instituído e suas finalidades, Também apresentaremos as reflexões dos professores entrevistados, suas concepções sobre o Ensino Médio e as políticas educacionais desenvolvidas pelo estado paraense. A pesquisa é de cunho qualitativo, utilizando os seguintes instrumentos de coletas de dados: entrevistas semi estruturadas, questionários e grupo focal com os professores do Ensino Médio da rede estadual de ensino. Este trabalho é fruto das pesquisas realizadas pelo grupo de pesquisa GEPESEED, com o objetivo de compreender como as políticas educacionais estão sendo desenvolvidas no município e as contribuições que os estudos desenvolvidos podem trazer para esse nível de ensino. Os autores estudados foram Nascimento (2015), Krwaczyk (2014).
