Since agricultural production diversification presents many advantages when compared to monoculture, since it is a strategy to reduce risks and allows income throughout the year. The research was carried out through a semi-structured questionnaire and had the participation of 10 (ten) farmers, based on the Rural Participatory Diagnosis (DRP), elaborated during the researches of the Community Time Course of Rural Education, through the discipline of Pedagogical practices. The main objective of this work is to provide a discussion of other possibilities of agricultural production that involve the diversification of productive activities of cultivation and breeding in the studied community. The research developed with the use of questionnaires and interviews brought several answers to the problem raised, and it was verified that community farmers need more incentives and opportunities to achieve better results in productive activities, thus providing a sustainable development of the family and the community. O presente trabalho buscou a realização de uma pesquisa quanti-qualitativa na comunidade de Jacundaí, município de Moju, Nordeste do Estado do Pará, onde se tentou identificar por quais fatores a maioria dos agricultores familiares da referida comunidade não conseguem diversificar a sua produção, investindo basicamente na produção de farinha de mandioca. Sendo que a diversificação produtiva agrícola apresenta inúmeras vantagens quando comparada à monocultura, pois a mesma é uma estratégia para a redução de riscos e possibilita renda ao longo do ano. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de um questionário semi-estruturado e contou com a participação de 10 (dez) agricultores, tendo como embasamento o Diagnóstico Rural Participativo (DRP), elaborado durante as pesquisas do Tempo Comunidade do Curso de Educação do Campo, através da disciplina de Práticas Pedagógicas. O principal objetivo deste trabalho é proporcionar a discussão de outras possibilidades de produção agrícola que envolvam a diversificação das atividades produtivas de cultivo e criação na comunidade estudada.
