This work has as objective to study the behavior of the temperature and the relative moisture in the National Forest of Caxiuanã, observing the relation to topographical variation and canopy height, through the continuous data collection during a period in the rain and dry season. The found results, show that the temperature possesses have daily thermal amplitude and seasonal decrease, being that in the rainy period the daily amplitude is minor in comparison to the dry period. The conclusion is that the temperature does not possess a trend of variation with regard to the differences in topography, in both the stations of the year, and that with regard to the canopy height, the temperature diminishes to the measure that rises in the atmosphere. However when it studied a precipitation event in one very dry month, a phenomenon called thermal inversion was observed that the temperature in the periods of the mornings to hold off form opposes in the period of the afternoon, characterizing. The relative moisture seems to follow the temperature phenomenon. A floresta amazônica tem sido foco de muitos estudos devido sua grande biodiversidade e pela sua contribuição para o clima regional e global, desta forma é importante conhecer o comportamento das variáveis meteorológicas no interior da floresta. Este trabalho tem como objetivo estudar o comportamento do ar no interior da floresta Nacional de Caxiuanã, observando o comportamento dos elementos meteorológicos com relação à variação topográfica e à variação da altura de dossel, através de coletas contínuas de dados durante um período na estação chuvosa e seca do ano de 2009. Os resultados encontrados mostram que a temperatura possui uma amplitude térmica diária e sazonal baixa, sendo que no período chuvoso (março e abril) a amplitude diária e menor que no período seco (setembro e outubro). Concluímos que a temperatura não possui uma tendência de variação com relação à variação topográfica em ambas as estações do ano. Em relação à altura do dossel, a temperatura aumenta à medida que nos elevamos na atmosfera. Porém quando se estudou um evento de precipitação num mês muito seco (outubro), observou-se que as temperaturas nos períodos das manhãs se comportam de forma contraria no período da tarde, caracterizando um fenômeno chamado de inversão térmica.
