It analyzes the basic bibliographic collection of the course of Librarianship of the Federal University of Pará. The bibliography collection of the Course is allocated in the collection of the Central Library Clodoaldo Fernando Ribeiro Beckman. The general objective of this research is to evaluate the basic bibliographic collection of the Librarianship course to verify if all the titles indicated in the curricular curriculum of the course are in the collection of the Central Library. And as specificities of the general objective, it verifies if the basic bibliography of the UFPA library science is available in the library of the Central Library; calculates the number of copies of each available title for consultation / loan; identify and point out the flaws in the collection of the Central Library in relation to the Pedagogical Project of the Faculty of Library Science. The research has the exploratory character with quantitative / qualitative approach. In order to withdraw the research sample, the literature comparison method was used as a research tool, a method that consists of the construction of a standard list to examine the proportion in which the collection is found in the collection. The research has shown that the collection of the Central Library Course, presents a BOM result, since it has more than half of the titles indicated in the course curriculum of the course. |
