Resumo:
Rainfall is one of the most essential weather parameters in tropical regions, since it has great spatial, temporal and seasonal variation which affects many human activities such as: In transportation, the economy, culture, at leisure, in power generation etc. Your monitoring can be done by rain gauges or rain gauge, weather satellites and weather radar. Lately the use of weather radar has become very common since it makes the estimation of rainfall over an area, real-time, although some restrictions have to be an indirect method based on the interaction between the electromagnetic radiations in the microwave channel with cloud droplets depending on the characteristics of gout with: Distribution, Size, shape and physical condition. The objective of this work is to set the equation of radar rainfall estimation, Z = aRb, with regional meteorological characteristics, especially with the rainfall characteristics, which in this case is predominantly convective, using the method of trial and varying the coefficients and b in search for the best correlation. After making several correlations between rainfall measured by rain gauges in the area covered by the radar , and the estimated radar , we conclude that for our region, metropolitan area of Belém area (Breves, Cameta , Tracuateua and Soure) Z-R relationship that best the observation was correlated Z = 10.R1,6 with a correlation coefficient c = 0,95.
